We made our first boat in 2011, our main goal was to build a small fishing boat for ourselves. But when people started inquiring about these rigs, we figured it must be time to make them for others as well. So, from 2011 and our 14-years of experience to date, we’ve made many positive changes relating to comfort, convenience and anything the USCG required. The Bandit package consists of a Pro 108. A ShoreLand’r® single axle trailer with steel wheels. It has our custom fit Bow-Mounted Minn Kota® Powerdrive V2 45 series trolling motor, and a 50ah lithium battery that lasts for days. Floor covering, a color matched swivel seat in most cases, a dry storage container under the seat, or if elected, a spot that can be turned into a 10-gallon live well with the optional aerator. There are optional storage compartments on the rear deck if wanted, or these can be left closed and keep the stylish look, that’s decided by you before ordering.
At Bass Bandit Boats, we'll custom build the boat to fit your needs. For example, you may like a one solid color boat with maybe matching seat or other items to go with it, or perhaps an attractive metallic boat you see here. Whatever you’d like, Bass Bandit can make it happen.

United States Coast Guard (USGS) Tested and Approved
  • We’ve put our boats through some pretty demanding tests on our local lakes. We checked first its stability, handling at different speeds and for comfort. After successfully completing our rigorous testing, our boats were then tested and fully approved by the US Coast Guard (USCG) We tested the boats with a 15 hp motor, not knowing what to expect by the USCG. The Coast Guard approved our design using a 1971 regulation that set the standard for up to a 6 hp motor. There are no worries about tipping or sinking the Bandit, the USCG tried but couldn't do it using a 1,500 lb. steel block placed in the bottom of the boat. Our boats are also constructed with 100% fiberglass, ensuring both safety and durability, while wood products absorb water overtime and will weaken the structure. All LED lighting is USCG approved, ensuring the highest quality and safety standards for any marine application. Our marine-quality flooring products are designed and tested for use in all marine applications, providing exceptional durability and performance. (Link to the USCG motor requirements)
The Bass Bandit boat is more than just a small water craft - it is a reliable and exceptional vessel. With accreditation from the United States Coast Guard, it has proven itself to be a top choice for those seeking a dependable and well-equipped small boat. The initial pool test for the Bass Bandit left USCG employees in awe as it showcased its remarkable capabilities. Our successful testing brought about some eye-opening comparisons and startling stories. In contrast to some new boat designs, which struggled to meet pool test standards, the Bass Bandit flawlessly performed with the addition of the #1500 weight. While some other boats experienced excessive noises, structural catastrophes, and even sinking or rolling over in the pool. This endorsement from the Coast Guard serves as further testament to the exceptional quality and design of the Bass Bandit boat. Its durability, stability, and state-of-the-art features for a 9 foot long - one-man boat, makes it a top choice for small water use. Rest assured that with the Bass Bandit, you are not only getting a boat that is approved by the Coast Guard, but also one that surpasses industry standards for small boats.

  • The story behind the creation of the Bass Bandit Boat was the result of a simple conversation between two brothers while fishing along side each other, in separate and expensive boats. During that time together, one brother noticed a gap in the boat market - a need for a smaller, more versatile type fishing boat. So, Steve, after a considerable amount of convincing, saw the potential in this idea and decided to move forward with it. For the next two years, he dedicated his time and resources into perfecting a design that would meet the needs and wants of avid boating and fishermen. This would give people an inexpensive option in boats. Whether you're a professional angler or simply enjoy a day on the water, the Bass Bandit Boat could be a game changer.
